About the Journal
Aims & Scope
The International Journal of Agricultural Research, Innovation and Technology (IJARIT) (eISSN: 2224-0616) is an open-access, international, double-blind peer-reviewed, quarterly, internationally indexed scientific journal dedicated to advancing theoretical and applied knowledge across the agricultural sciences. IJARIT serves as an international platform for researchers, academicians, extension specialists, and policymakers. The journal publishes original research articles, critical reviews, short communications, and case studies across six thematic areas — Crop Sciences & Plant Protection; Soil, Water & Environmental Resources; Animal & Aquatic Sciences; Post-Harvest Technology & Food Systems; Agricultural Economics & Rural Development; and Agricultural Innovation & Emerging Technologies — see the full Aims & Scope on the journal's own website for detailed subject coverage.
Publication Frequency
The journal is published quarterly (March, June, September, and December).
Open Access Policy
All articles published in IJARIT are fully open access: immediately available to read, download, and share without restriction, at no cost to the reader.
Peer Review Policy
IJARIT maintains a rigorous double-blind peer review process:
- Every submission undergoes initial screening by the Executive Editor for scope alignment and compliance with author guidelines, including similarity screening.
- The journal uses double-blind review, in which authors and reviewers remain anonymous to one another.
- At least two independent, subject-matter-qualified reviewers evaluate every research and review article.
- The Editor-in-Chief makes the final editorial decision based on reviewer recommendations.
- Editorial Board members, organized across the journal's six thematic areas, provide subject-matter guidance to the Editor-in-Chief.
Authorship Criteria
Authorship is limited to those who have made a substantial contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study, with all authors approving the final manuscript and accepting accountability for its content. Changes to authorship after submission require written consent from all authors.
Article Withdrawal, Correction & Retraction Policy
Manuscripts may be withdrawn without penalty within 7 days of initial submission. Once a manuscript has entered peer review or been published, it cannot be arbitrarily withdrawn. Published articles may be corrected, retracted, or removed only in cases of confirmed ethical violations — including plagiarism, duplicate submission, fraudulent authorship claims, or data fabrication — following the procedures set out in the journal's Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement. Authors who disagree with an editorial decision may submit a written appeal to the Editor-in-Chief.
Publication Fee
IJARIT Research Foundation is a self-supporting organization. There is no charge to submit a manuscript. An Article Processing Charge (APC) applies only after a manuscript has been accepted following peer review:
- National Authors (Bangladesh): BDT 5,000
- International Authors: USD 100
Payment is accepted by bank transfer or other verified electronic payment platforms.
Waiver Policy
Authors from countries classified by the World Bank as low-income economies are eligible for an automatic full APC waiver; authors from lower-middle-income countries may apply for a partial waiver. Authors facing financial hardship without institutional support may apply for a waiver at the time of initial manuscript submission; this has no bearing on editorial evaluation.
Plagiarism & Research Integrity Policy
All submitted manuscripts undergo mandatory similarity screening prior to peer review. Overall similarity must remain below 15% (excluding references and standard methodology phrasing), with no single source exceeding 3%. Manuscripts exceeding these thresholds are returned for revision or rejected. IJARIT maintains a zero-tolerance policy for data fabrication, duplicate submission, and undisclosed use of generative AI tools in producing manuscript content; see the Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement for full details, including the journal's AI-use disclosure policy.
Data Availability
Authors are encouraged to make the data underlying their findings available via a public repository or upon reasonable request, and to state their data availability status in the manuscript.
Copyright Policy
Authors retain full, unrestricted copyright in their published work. All content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits any third party to share and adapt the material for any purpose, including commercially, provided appropriate credit is given, a link to the license is provided, and any changes are indicated.
Self-Archiving Policy
Because authors retain copyright, they may self-archive any version of their manuscript — preprint, accepted manuscript, or published version — in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or personal academic websites, at any time, with no embargo period.
Archiving Policy
IJARIT is committed to the long-term preservation of its content. All published articles are preserved through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, the Keepers Registry, and BanglaJOL/INASP, ensuring continued access independent of the journal's own website.
