Privacy Statement

The International Journal of Agricultural Research, Innovation and Technology (IJARIT) is committed to protecting the personal information of everyone who interacts with the journal's platform, including authors, reviewers, editors, and registered readers.

What Information We Collect

When you register with, submit to, or review for IJARIT, we collect:

  • Names and institutional affiliations of authors, co-authors, and reviewers.
  • Email addresses, used for editorial correspondence, peer-review coordination, and (for registered readers) new-issue notifications.
  • ORCID iDs, where provided, used to verify author and reviewer identity.
  • Manuscript files and associated metadata submitted through the online submission system.
  • Basic usage data (e.g., page views, downloads) collected automatically for reporting purposes such as COUNTER-compliant usage statistics.

How We Use This Information

Personal information collected through the IJARIT platform is used exclusively to:

  • Operate the editorial and peer-review process (manuscript screening, reviewer assignment, correspondence, and decision communication).
  • Publish accepted articles, including the names and affiliations of authors as part of the published scholarly record.
  • Send new-issue notifications to readers who have opted in via registration.
  • Maintain records required for research integrity, audit, and appeals purposes, as described in the Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement.

This information is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes, and is not used for any purpose beyond the operation of this journal.

Data Retention

Names, affiliations, and manuscript records associated with published articles are retained indefinitely as part of the permanent scholarly record, consistent with the journal's archiving and preservation policy. Account information for registered users who have not published or reviewed is retained only for as long as the account remains active, and may be deleted upon request (see below).

Cookies

The IJARIT website, built on Open Journal Systems (OJS), uses essential cookies to support core site functionality such as login sessions and journal preferences. These cookies do not track users across other websites and are not used for advertising purposes.

Your Rights

You may:

  • Request a copy of the personal information IJARIT holds about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information (e.g., an author's affiliation or ORCID iD).
  • Request deletion of your account information, where this does not conflict with the integrity of the permanent published scholarly record or an ongoing editorial/peer-review process.

To exercise any of these rights, contact the Editorial Office at editor@ijarit.online.

IJARIT's website and publishing infrastructure rely on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

  • Crossref — DOI registration and metadata deposit.
  • Turnitin / iThenticate — plagiarism/similarity screening of submitted manuscripts.

Submitting a manuscript or registering with IJARIT constitutes acknowledgment that the manuscript file and associated metadata will be processed by these services as part of standard editorial and archival operations.
