Open Access & Copyright Licensing

Open Access Policy

All articles published in the International Journal of Agricultural Research, Innovation and Technology (IJARIT) are made immediately and permanently available online to the global public, free of charge, without paywalls, registration requirements, or embargo periods. This policy aligns with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access and ensures maximum visibility, accessibility, and citation potential for published research. Funding for this model is provided through the Article Processing Charge described in the APC policy, payable only upon manuscript acceptance.

Copyright and Author Ownership

Authors retain full, unrestricted copyright in their published work. IJARIT does not require authors to transfer copyright to the journal or publisher as a condition of publication.

License

All articles published in IJARIT are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). The CC BY 4.0 license appears alongside the article metadata and is embedded in the published PDF and HTML versions of every article, ensuring it is both human- and machine-readable for indexing and archiving services.

Terms of Reuse: Under CC BY 4.0, third parties are permitted to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.

...provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated. This license also permits text and data mining (TDM) of published content for research purposes, consistent with CC BY 4.0 terms.

Where a published article is later corrected (see the Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement for the Corrections policy), the corrected version remains licensed under CC BY 4.0 and is linked to the original publication record.

Author Self-Archiving (Green OA)

Because authors retain full copyright, they are free to self-archive any version of their manuscript — preprint, accepted manuscript, or the final published version of record — in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or personal/academic websites, at any time, with no embargo period. Authors are encouraged to cite the published version of record (including DOI) when depositing.

Digital Preservation & Archiving

To ensure permanent access to published scholarly content, IJARIT employs multi-layered digital preservation:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): Automated, distributed archiving for OJS-based journals.
  • LOCKSS & CLOCKSS: Distributed archiving systems ensuring perpetual access in the event of platform downtime or journal discontinuation.
  • BanglaJOL / INASP: Regional permanent digital archive and discovery platform.
  • Keepers Registry: Independent registry confirming which archiving agencies preserve each ISSN-registered title, providing public verification of the preservation arrangements listed above.
  • Internet Archive: General web archiving of the journal's published content as an additional preservation layer.

These systems operate independently of the journal's infrastructure, ensuring that published content remains accessible even if IJARIT's website or publisher becomes unavailable.

Privacy of Personal Information

Names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses submitted to the IJARIT platform are used exclusively for the editorial and publishing operations of this journal and are not shared with third parties or used for commercial or marketing purposes.
