Preservation & Archiving Policy

The International Journal of Agricultural Research, Innovation and Technology (IJARIT) is committed to the permanent availability and long-term preservation of all published scholarly content. 1. Digital Archiving & Long-Term Preservation

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): IJARIT is integrated into the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network, which provides digital preservation via the LOCKSS framework, establishing a dark archive across participating academic libraries worldwide.
  • LOCKSS & CLOCKSS: IJARIT supports both archival systems for distributed harvesting and storage, allowing participating libraries to hold permanent copies for long-term preservation and restoration.
  • Keepers Registry: Independent registry confirming which archiving agencies preserve each ISSN-registered title, providing public verification of the arrangements above.
  • Internet Archive: General web archiving of the journal's published content as an additional preservation layer.
  • Local & Cloud Redundancy: Full-text articles (PDF and XML metadata) are routinely backed up across secure off-site servers managed by the IJARIT Research Foundation.

2. Article-Level Persistent Identifiers (DOIs)

Every article published in IJARIT is assigned a persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) via Crossref. Authors and readers are encouraged to cite published articles using their active DOI link — for example: https://doi.org/10.3329/ijarit.v16i1.xxxxx.

3. Self-Archiving & Repository Policy (Green Open Access)

IJARIT fully supports author self-archiving under the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license. Authors retain copyright and are permitted — and encouraged — to post and distribute all versions of their work without embargo:

Submitted Version (Preprint) Yes May be deposited in institutional or disciplinary repositories at any time.
Accepted Version (Postprint) Yes May be shared on personal websites or institutional repositories upon formal acceptance.
Published Version (Version of Record) Yes (Encouraged) May be freely deposited in institutional, national, or commercial repositories. Must include a link to the Version of Record on the IJARIT platform using the official DOI.

4. Metadata Harvesting & Open Access Standards

All publication metadata generated by IJARIT is structured according to standard schema (Dublin Core, JATS XML, and MARC21) via the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, allowing automated harvesting by search engines, institutional libraries, and external indexing services.
